The ninth annual Angel Ride to Save the TaTas was a huge success on July 11. Close to 500 riders went on the ride, plus many other showed up later to participate in the fun activities at Amigos. Warrants have been issued for the arrest of a Webster City man in connection with a shooting outside the Fort 8 Theater on Aug. 14. Oberender is being sought for charges of assault while displaying or using a dangerous weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor, and reckless use of a firearm, a simple misdemeanor, according to Ryan Baldridge, first assistant Webster County attorney. Oberender allegedly fired a single gunshot outside the Fort 8 Theater, 1417 Central Ave., around 11:31 p.m. on Aug. 14. Anyone with information on where Oberender might be is asked to call the Fort Dodge Police Department at 573-1426 or Webster County Crime Stoppers at 573-1444.
